Control's two 2019 inductees to the Control Process Automation Hall of Fame are both chemical engineers (ChEs) who have devoted almost their entire careers to a single enterprise, but they occupy the alternate realities of industry and academia. Despite disparate priorities, both have demonstrated uncommon devotion to building process control wisdom and conveying it to others.
Both were also enthusiastically nominated and selected by the existing members of our Process Automation Hall of Fame. And, as you’ll see, each presents an admirable example of how one person can influence and inspire others to strive and excel in the field.
This year, we welcome Nicholas Sands and Carlos Smith to the Control Process Automation Hall of Fame.
Also in this issues are feature articles about control room design and process analyzers.
Find all of this and more in the April issue of Control.
